Our latest set of features to help you optimize and speed up your roommate search
We hope that you enjoyed your summer, got to spend time with friends and family (at a safe distance), made it to the beach, out to nature, or just explored your nearby city sights. We spent our summer working on our next big new feature, Diggz Premium, a new way to accelerate your roommate search on our platform.
Diggz Premium will introduce access to enhanced existing and new features, such as renewable Instant Messages, unlimited likes, listing boost in the search results and extra premium filters. First off, by joining Diggz Premium you will have renewable Instant Messages. Every day your account will be topped off to 10 free Instant Messages that will allow you to be proactive and reach out to your top prospects without having to wait for a Like back. We would also continue to offer unlimited likes to our Premium members (we will be capping Likes to 50 a day for our regular members). As you know, our roommate search results are personalized for each of our Diggz user based on their circumstances and lifestyle by our matching algorithm. By being a Premium member, our algorithm will slightly boost your score so you will show up higher in the search results to give you an edge (we’ll still consider fit first, but all being equal a premium member will rank higher).
Lastly, we are introducing new premium filters that will allow you to exclude smokers, profiles without a picture, and those without references from friends or previous roommates. In addition we are adding the much anticipated option to filter on specific neighborhoods. So now you can select users that are looking for or offering rooms specifically in your desired neighborhoods instead of just being able to select the larger area or borough (For example, filtering for Williamsburg vs. Brooklyn). We plan to rollout additional Premium Filters for our Diggz Premium users, but we’d love to hear from you if there are any specific filters you’d like to see in the future. In addition to the premium Filters
Diggz Premium is ideal for those that are in a time crunch and need to move soon, those that are a bit more picky about their roommate requirements and would like to have more control over their search, or if you are offering a higher budget place (those usually require being more proactive).
While we release these new features, we want to emphasize that we aren’t taking any features away from our regular users. We strive to make Diggz inclusive to any budget and if you have enjoyed our current services you can still continue to enjoy them in the future at no cost.
Diggz Premium will initially be available to for a one week, two weeks or a monthly membership that will be reoccurring. You are able to cancel your membership and any point before the next cycle, and you’ll be able to easily do so. If you cancel your membership before it’s expiration, you’ll still be able to enjoy all the Premium benefits until the membership cycles ends. So if you purchased a membership for one week and found your roommate after one day, or decided you wanted to cancel your membership before that week ended, you’ll still be considered a Premium member for the full week and at the end you’ll revert back to a regular free membership and will not be charged for an additional week.
We’re excited to launch this new set of features and we hope that you find them helpful and useful in your roommate search.
