On the lower side, you can find rooms for rent in Sheepshead Bay for $620 or in Bensonhurst for $830. Surprisingly Downtown Brooklyn, came in at a very affordable average rent price of $750. Not bad for an area that is close to many trendy neighborhoods in Brooklyn, the waterfront, and a short and convenient commute to the city.
If you’re looking for an average priced rental in Brooklyn, there are many different areas to choose from ranging from Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Bushwick, Bedford Stuyvesant, Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Boerum Hill and Clinton Hill, with room rent prices ranging between $1,000 to $1,250.
For trendy neighborhoods like Williamsburg, and Dumbo on the water front, expect to pay close to Manhattan price rents ranging between $1450 to $1600. These neighborhoods offer spacious new apartments and incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. It also helps that you’re one subway from the city, yet you can find everything you need right in your own backyard. Other neighborhoods such as Greenpoint, Fort Greene and Carrol Gardens have increased in popularity and are around the $1,300 price range.
